Premedical Chapters
Since 1994, Phi Delta Epsilon has welcomed premedical students who meet our standards and eligibility requirements for membership. Our premedical chapters host social, service, cultural and educational activities throughout the year. This is in addition to chapter meetings and networking events. Through our partnerships and Fraternity resources, chapters may plan suture clinics, MCAT workshops, medical school admissions panels, social determinants of health initiatives, medical student shadowing, and more.
Full-time degree-seeking undergraduate students at host institutions may inquire about joining their local chapter. Post Baccalaureate and graduate students are ineligible for membership.
Undergraduate students who attend a school without a Phi Delta Epsilon chapter may contact our office for expansion information. No one may start a chapter of the Fraternity without our permission.
Medical Chapters
Phi Delta Epsilon was founded 120 years ago as a professional fraternity supporting the need for camaraderie and mentoring among medical students. Since then, the membership has changed dramatically but the mission and objectives of our organization remain the same. PhiDE provides educational opportunities, supports philanthropic projects, and serves as a foundation for the development of relationships among medical professionals throughout the entire spectrum of a medical career.
Medical chapters provide a community for our medical students through social, service, cultural and educational activities throughout the year. Medical student members may join medical chapters on their campus or start new chapters by contacting our office. Premedical members who graduate in good standing may join a medical chapter, restart a chapter, or join our Iota Mu chapter as an independent member on any campus without a chapter.
