MISSION STATEMENT
Phi Delta Epsilon International Medical Fraternity creates physicians of integrity with a lifelong commitment to our guiding principles of philanthropy, deity, and education through fellowship, service, mentoring, and formal training in leadership, science, and ethics.
HISTORY
In October of 1904, Aaron Brown and eight of his friends founded Phi Delta Epsilon at Cornell University Medical College. At that time, there were many doors closed to Jewish medical students and physicians, doors which would not fully open until after World War II.

PAST NEWS

Congratulations to our newest chapter at Syracuse University. New York Nu was chartered on April 14th by Dr. Martin Acquadro, Past International President and fraters from NY Zeta at Clarkson University, and NY Alpha at Binghamton University. 47 founding members were welcomed into this premedical chapter of Phi Delta Epsilon Medical Fraternity.

 

California State University, Northridge's CA Theta chapter helped their newest members fundraise for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Members dressed up to gather attention for a bake sale on campus during final exams.

 

Epsilon Theta at Medical University of Gdansk (MUG) hosted a clothing drive on campus in late May called "Are You Really Going to Wear That?" MUG students clean out their apartments at the end of the school year and our chapter used this timing to collect donations for a local charity. Students collected 500 shirts and sweaters, 150 pairs of trousers, over 100 jackets and dozens of pairs of shoes.

 

Students across the world continue to donate their time to service in their local communities. Miami University's OH Gamma chapter volunteered at their CMN Hospital and spent the day playing with children.

 

IL Gamma at Northwestern University celebrated their first birthday as a chapter and initiated their Beta new member class in May 2012. Congratulations to this prospering group!

 

The NY Iota chapter at Hofstra University on Long Island participated in Relay for Life, hosting their 2nd Annual Pie a Phi where students could donate money for the cause to throw a pie in a student or faculty's face. The chapter stayed up all night, walking the track, reading books and having a great time.

 

CA Kappa at University of California, Davis participated in a June Health Club Fair and picnic for all students interested in medicine.

 

MI Gamma colony at University of Michigan, Dearborn hosted a Dunk Tank during the latest orientation in July. Students, faculty and staff volunteered to be dunked at the PhiDE booth.
